This is what you do. You close the store, and live the life you have left. Nothing is more important. Our life has been changed, and we are going to make the most and best out of what we have. The store is officially closed and listed through Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate. We have one last gift of donation to the Opera House on New Year's which we will fulfill, and we also we be attending their event that evening. So thank you to everyone that cared and became part of our journey. We had some great young ladies that worked for us and became part of our family. We met some wonderful people along the way. What we leave behind are the memories and cherished ones, but we will make more in the days to come. and those will be the best of all. So pray for us on our journey, and we will continue on for as long as we can just being together. We are extremely sad to end it this way...

Results of Pet Scan
Bill's cancer has spread throughout his bloodstream. There are multiple tumors in the torso region and the outcome is very grim. There is a one in two chance that with repeat Chemotherapy it will buy some extra time, so Bill has chosen that path. It is with great sadness that it has so rapidly multiplied, we didn't expect it in this magnitude. We are going to try to hang on to the hope that intervention can change or slow the course of the disease. What do you do when the greatest love you have for someone can't make it better? More news to come...

A Sweet Surprise & Gigi's picture with Santa
The kindness of a child! Julia and her brother come into Gigi's to smile for a token (gumball) often, and today she made me a beautiful necklace and a lovely card for Bill. What a sweet surprise...

Santa will be here on Saturday and I am going to make sure we ask for the greatest gift of no bad news. :( We have some pretty great doctors and they have made great strides with Cancer these days. Hope is our best advocate!

Update on Bill
Each day comes with something new. We are waiting to get the call for the Pet Scan, and a little apprehensive as to what it will show. He seems to be losing weight again, but is eating fairly well considering the obsticles he faces trying to swallow. He is having some moderate to severe back pain these days, but keeps going. He is always here, constantly cleaning, mopping, sweeping, fixing, etc... At times though, he does make frosting for me and shows the Grandkids the rewards to licking it off the beater~ yummo!
